Number 4: To Voki or Not to Voki

I  never really liked barbie dolls or dressing things up.  For me the procedure is boring. So I found using building a voki a real time waster. However, I can see that a voki could work in a school environments.  In my mind I would use a voki in the classroom by asking children to write a 60 second presentation on a topic that they are currently learning.  Once they had their presentation framework, I would then ask them to construct and design a voki to present their information to the class that must be recorded in their own voice. Not everyone likes public speaking and I think this would be a great base to start slowly and help build student's speaking confidence.  The downside to using a voki on the other hand, is that while it is interactive for the user, unless you love hearing people speak it is not the best tool to learn from.
